Anybody know for sure if the current TDP-S2 has the chip/scaler as the LP340v? I'm taking a trip down to Oregon and would like to pick one up from Costco? Thanks for helping out the rookie!

I'm curious about this as well. It has DVI support, unlike the 340B, but like the Boxlight. So, everything looks the same. No one has been able to confirm it though.

The specs are the same and Projector Central lists them as the same projector. Perhaps a call to InFocus would be in order?

I'll see if I have time today. Anyone else have any suggestions? Is there a way to determine what the scaler chipset is from the box/manual/etc.? What chipset does the 340V's scaler have? 340B? Thanks.

Well, I called InFocus twice. Once to their CS department and once to their technical department. Ironically, the CS department gave me the most technical answer.


The CS rep said that since the contrast ratio on the TDP-S2 is 400:1 it has to be the LP340V. The LP340B has a 500:1 contrast ratio. The TDP-S2 also has a DVI port unlike the 340B.
