Hi AVS forums,

Total NooB question:

So I have Comcast cable (HD, Motorola box, standard stuff) I want to run the content to a 2nd TV sitting 20 feet away in the kitchen

Don't need to be able to control comcast box, don't need to run HD content, just standard defination stuff....just want to duplicate the picture on another TV sitting in another room.

What are my simplest options ?

I have cat5 all over the house and between the two points...

thanks in advance

I dont have comcast, so I can't check for myself, but does that box output on the composite output at the same time as the HD output (component or HDMI)?

Easiest thing (if it does), would be to hook up the 2nd TV to the composite output (yellow/White/Red). If you can't run additional wire, then use Cat5 and video baluns.

It would also help if you mentioned which STB you are using.

I have the Motorola 3416 and I use two outputs on the box.

I have an HDMI going to one display and the component and optical going to another. The allows me to have HD on both displays.
