I've got a totally dead NEC 6 PG. This is the first time I've ever encountered one that wouldn't even try to start up. When plugged in and the main power switched on/off there's no STANDBY light lit at the back or anything, totally dead. Do the big main power switches themselves ever go ? They always seem so sloppy. Where should I look first? All the threads I've looked at about PG power problems had the projector at least going into standby, but not fully powering, I've never seen one that wouldn't even go into standby. Am I missing some secret dip switch or something ?

gn2,

Maybe just the switch in the breaker box. :D

It sounds like the power supply is totally gone, you can pull it out and check the fuse and also the R02-R03 (white ceramic blocks) and see if they are open. Your right you dont see this very often. Check the voltage at the end of the power cord just in case. Doug
