I have a Stewart Electriscreen 92" 16:9 which I purchased during the powerbuy in February. I am getting ready to install it in a recessed soffit by mounting it on the ceiling using the eyebolts provided. Because of my Plama TV, which is flat mounted against the same wall, I need to have the screen come out at least 6" from the front wall to avoid the screen coming in contact with the plasma. I was originally going to screw the hooks directly into the ceiling which would fix the screen in one position. However, I was thinking that a better way to install would be to mount tracks on the ceiling and hang the hooks off of the tracks extending from the wall so that I can fine tune the the distance that the screen is from the front wall. This would also allow some additional flexibility for the future if at some point I decide to replace or remove the plasma I could adjust the screen housing closer or further away from the front wall.
Before I start going to Home Depot to try to make this thing from scratch I was hoping somebody in the forum had taken similar steps, and might be able to steer me in the right direction on what to use and where to get the tracks (or similar device) and what accessories I might need.
I appreciate any assistance. Thanks.
