Is there an easy way to convert the transport streams to dvd for dvd player playback. I'd like to be able to watch these shows on the road or at friends homes and no one else has the hdtv setup.


I'm trying to convert hdtv transport streams to dvd format, and failing....


I'm capturing some hdtv shows to the hard drive with a MyHD 120.


I cut the commercials with hdtvtompeg.


I've converted the files to 720x540 or whatever DVD standard is, I forget at the moment.... This was a preset in canopus procoder 2. I've tried both vob files and m2v/m2a.


I've tried to load these files in Roxio dvd creater 7 and it doesn't recognize anything.

I tried DVDit and can only get the m2v files in, not the audio.

Take a look at "TMPGEnc 3.x XPress". It will take MPEG output from HDTVtoMPEG directly, including the AC3 audio, and create files for burning ANYTHING else (dvd, xdvd, svcd, vcd, mpeg, etc).


The only issues are:


It takes a while, and

It has a hard time with streams that have errors in them.

Time no longer matter's. It's become an issue now that I MUST resolve.
