I saw what seems to be a pretty good deal on these.

Obviously they don't go very low, but aside from that, good speakers? I've heard great things about Triad but can't find any information about this model.

If I don't put them in the living room, would they work well on my desk as computer speakers?

Among all the Triad speakers I have, I have a pair of InRoom Bronze Omnis. They don't play very loud, but in a small venue, they have good spectral balance and they are very, very natural. They'd work well in a living room for background listening (if you kicked the bass a little), but they'd make great computer speakers. They sound better with an amp that can drive a 4 ohm load.

paul, i am looking for 4 in wall speakers for the rear and rear surround back channels - i am running paradigms studio 100's +cc-690 in the fronts - and paradigm inwalls for the height channel - would be powering the rears with emotiva xpa-5 - can you suggest triad speakers to match up and the price.

My room is a dedicated home theater and acoustically treated and i like direct radiating speakers - dimensions are 17'X13'X10' - i tried to go through your master thread and got tired reading....

thanks for the help..

The master Triad thread is full of great information and discussion, but I'll cut to the chase for you.

The InWall Silver/4 Omni is a great choice for surround if you cross at 80 Hz or 100 Hz. They're a bit more sensitive than the Gold Omnis (which are fuller and would also work great), and they play to robust levels. The Silver Omnis are $450 each, and the Gold Omnis are $500 each, including custom paint matching of the grill and frame. (Makes them blend nicely.) If you don't listen above reference level much, the Gold Omni sounds great, but if you listen louder, the Silver Omni is about 3 dB more sensitive with the same power handling below 120 Hz or so.
