What kind of tripod do I need for a roof top installation?

I've got a standard peaked roof and no chimney.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Radio Shack sells a tripod mount for a peak roof, I have one on my setup; a cm 4221 on a 5ft. mast. Did the job well with no need for guy wires which are a PITA.

Any ideas for a temporary flat-roof mount? I rent and would like to install a dish on the roof that won't be permanently attached. I was hoping to find a tripod and add some blocks or pavers to keep it in place. We don't have much in the way of extreme weather (except fog, of course), so the install doesn't need to be too robust.

Do an internet search on Non-penetrating Roof Mount. It fits the bill exactly.

If I called it "quadpod" nobody would know what the heck I was talking about.

The Glen Martin 4 leg roof towers are very good but are designed for ham operators. Radio Shack actually had them online for a while.
