Hi all I'm completely new to this HDMI to TV thing, and am stuck and need some help. I have a DVI slot with an Nvidia adapter with a Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ graphics card hooked up to a Sanyo HDMI TV. I checked the "native" setting and some of the other setting for the TV, and only kind of got it to work. If I got to "display" in Windows XP, I can select 2 monitors. I've matched up "1600 X 900" on both monitors, and then selected "Extend my Windows Desktop on this monitor" and so far the only thing I can get to show up on my TV is the wallpaper. I also downloaded a prgram called "Power Strip" but I dont really know how to use it. Can someone give me a hand?

Need to select clone image. That way the tv will show what the monitor shows. AND when viewing movies I have to go inside powerdvd and tell it to overlay or something? cant remember ...to get it to show up on the tv. Just keep messin you'll get it.

it sounds like you are using the hdtv as an extension of your desktop. set your setting so that both monitors have the same display.

You shouldn't need powerstrip anymore-

Also, if you can see the desktop in "extend" mode, you're doing just fine. All you have to do is drag over to the 2nd monitor whatever app you want to use.

(Most likely your tv and monitor want different resolutions and the only way to do this is with "extend")

set your hdtv as the "primary display"

Video can only be displayed by some players only on the primary display.

So in the video card settings, change your HDTV to be the primary display, and you should be good to go.
