I just set up this TV and when I try set the 1080p option on my 360 the screen goes black and it just reverts back to 1080i. This TV is suppose to do 1080p. I'm using component cables. Am I missing something?



Update - I just checked with an HDMI cable and it will do 1080p with it. Is it typical that TVs won't do 1080p over component? Also, I just realized that I can still us my optical audio when using an HDMI cable by running it from the Optical out of the TV. So it's not as big a deal as I thought.

You cannot send 1080p over component to any display.

Not a big deal since your 1080p display will automatically convert 1080i inputs to 1080p anyway.
