with a movie playing press the display button on the remote three times. You will set it set to Normal and 480i by default. From here you can switch it to 480p.

Trying to get my XP30 to play progressive scan?
My XP 30 will not show progressive scan on LCD readout, I enabled it in the setup menu, but it supposedly has to be set up in the play menu which I cannot find, how do I get to the play menu? Only thing showing on the LCD readout is DVD-V and B in a box with the letters ASS underneath? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
