I friend of mine owns a Samsung HCM4215W and he gets his HD feed via a Comcast 5100 HD STB.
While watching ESPN HD's HD Game last night and CBS HD game it was obvious to me that he was not getting anything close to a real HD picture.....
I went into the Menu of the Comcast 5100 and made sure the Output was set to 1080i which it was.....but as I cycled the options the tv screen turned blue, made sense because the tv did not support 720p....but when I switched to 1080i again...the screen was still blue....
MY point is I don't think (in fact I know) his tv is not displaying the HD picture....while ESPN HD looked slightly better than the SD version of the game.....it was not huge difference.
I own 2 HDTV's and We compared pics....its just not even close....
Any Idea's why he would not be getting the HD picture....
I checked all the cables, connections....all the simple stuff....
Thanks,
Cipro
