BeyondTV and SageTV both refuse to tune any HD channels after installing tuner drivers in SP3. I did not have this problem with SP2.


HDTVFusion app works fine and the tuners work if I install the drivers before the SP3 update.


It has been suggested that it is a DRM issue and I should delete the DRM folder contents, but there is nothing in the DRM folder.


Does anyone have a suggested solution before I revert back to SP2?

I don't guess you made a backup of that OS before installing thiat SP3 did you? If not, I would remove SP3 and hope for the best.

rule number one of windows htpcs, once everything is working correctly, never, ever, install any updates, especially service packs.

First I would re-install the drivers of your TV tuner.

There is mention of a BDA/DVB hotfix when using ATSC tuners after installing MS updates. See if it's applicable in your case.

Yes, I have an SP2 backup. But it had problems, too.


I upgraded(?) to SP3 on the advice of BTV tech support.


I have since done a fresh install of SP2 and things have been working for the last week.


I will try the hotfix eventually. Thanks to all for your suggestions.
