turning off delay on live

428 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  whirly
i have searched the forum for several key words and i'm comming up with nothing ...

here is my problem .. i have several things pluged into my sound system but i have run out of iinputs .. the replay ( 5040 ) uses it's optic out to the optial in of the sound system .. works great ... now i wanted to connect the dreamcast up to the system also so i could mess around with a few older games i have .. because i have no more inputs on the autio system i pluged it into the line 2 in of the replay and used the optical for the sound .. works great EXCEPT the replay is delaying the video/audio by about 2 seconds ( probly for pausing etc ) ... this is not good in twitch type games where the game is MAJORLY delayed ... i hit the "live" button on the remote thinking it ould act like a bypass with no luck .. is teir any way to do this or am i stuck with buying a bunch of rca splitters for the system and maby useing an a/b switch ?

i like the time shift on the replay .. but i wish their was a simple way to turn the thing off , if not for just that input then just for the unit ( a toggle? )

Sorry, can't do it. The whole purpose of the replay is to buffer.

Buy an AV switcher. Works great for me.
I agree, there's no way you could play a game through a replay. It would never work.
Run your A/V from the game box directly to one of the extra inputs on the TV. Both of my OLD TV's have front panel A/V inputs which my son uses frequently. Yes you will have to put up with the speakers on the TV but you get the big screen.
