Thank you
Just found out the receiver is a Onkyo TX- SR606 I don't think they have a phono stage. Would these still be ok?

Appreciate your help
Some of the TT's above have a built in pre amp, if not you will need to get an external one and utilize one of the analog inputs on receiver (cd in, tape in, etc..). Just check the specs on the TT's you like.

I'd look at the Fluance TTs - they're quite good.

Sorry I got the price wrong over here these are up around the $700.

The Audio Technica AT-LP60XBT $399 or the AT-LP60X for $349.

Would one of these be ok. Or are there better?

Thanks again

Those are entry level TT's. and go for around 100 to 150

Over double the price here.

For that price what would you recommend?

Thank you, appreciate it.

Thanks for reply.
Yes great recommendations sound good but here in New Zealand anything in the US can get up to about 3 times the price. I tend to use this as a quick reference and generally not that far off. Like the above price differences. By the time taxes freight etc is put on.

Appreciate your help.

The Audio Technica AT-LP60 ($149) is NOT a very good turntable - adequate, functional - but nothing special.

I would recommend that you do NOT go any lower than the Audio Technical AT-LP3 ($199) -

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_057LP3BK/Audio-Technica-AT-LP3-Black.html?tp=75887

This is based purely on the Tonearm. The AT-LP60 does not have a very good Tonearm.

If you really want to maximize your budget, the Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB ($250) are very high value. They come with a Phono Pre-Amp and a USB Out that can be used to record Vinyl to your Computer.

While these are low cost, they are generally well regarded turntable and are generally available everywhere in the world. There are many YouTube reviews of the AT- LP120 Turntable. Generally all positive.

The Fluance are also very good very basic turntables, though I'm not sure how far around the world their distribution is spread.

Nothing wrong with the suggested TEAC TM-280BT ($279), it seems to have a decent Tonearm.

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_063TN280WA/TEAC-TN-280BT.html

This has the advantage of having Bluetooth, so the turntable can transmit to any device that has a Bluetooth Receiver.

At the limit of your budget.

Music Hall MMF1.3 - $299 -

Project Essential III - $299 -

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_252ES3GR/Pro-Ject-Essential-III-Gloss-Red.html?tp=75887

Project probably has more international distribution than Music Hall.

Of those listed, the most highly rated, best value, and with the widest distribution would be the Audio Technical AT-LP120XUSB ($250).

If you can add $100 to $150 to your budget, you can move up into a much higher class of turntable.
