I need help hooking up a TV messenger box to an hdtv we got for my 87 year old father inlaw for Christmas. They used this all the time before on the old TV but I don't want to lose picture quality and am not sure how to do it. The new TV is run to the cable box with hdmi and the DVD player with

component. Is there anyone out there that has any ideas.

I think you're out of luck if you want to be able to watch HD or have decent SD PQ via HDMI. It appears it uses composite video. The only suggestion I have is to connect it via composite video, but he'd have to switch inputs on the TV to see it. This may not be the easiest thing for him especially if he can't hear the phone very well. It's helpfulness seems to be that it connects inline with the video stream so you don't have to do anything when a call comes in.
