About 2 years ago I had installed an app that allowed me to tweak my resolution to a higher setting than what my infocus 4805 allowed... It was recommended from a guy at work that no longer works with me - I swear he said he got the original information from here. It's been a few clean installs since than and I cannot recall what app it was...


I'm hoping someone here knows of this or similar apps.

Isn't the 4805 one of those 852x480 projectors? In any case, from a computer, you select any resolution that the projector can accept ... typically a 1920x1080 i signal and there is your higher resolution. The Projector will scale the signal back down to fit the chip.


Setting any BD player to a resolution that is not the same as the projector achieves the same thing as long as the projector will accept that signal type.

You may be talking about PowerStrip. Google it and you should come up with a lot of info. It's also discussed in the HTPC area of this forum.

probably powerstrip. Powerstrip is of relatively little relevance these days AFAIK because most any current video card driver has all the custom timing functionality you'd need.
