Well I finally got my IXOS s-video/composite/component cable today. For the moment I will use the s-video for DVD and LD use and the composite for ordinary VCR and TV.


I haven't got my screen or ceiling mount yet but I thought I should check with you how to get the best image possible since I haven't got any VE or AVIA at the moment. In other words how do you set your brightness, color tint etc.


I know this is very individual settings depending on room, screen and other factors but as said it would be nice to get some hints on how to get started tweaking.

..I've only spent a couple of weekends with a borrowed 425, so I am no expert - but I don't recall very extensive adjustments being available.

..Once you get an Avia disk, it might help you set things up.

..In the meantime, I'd set it up for a picture you find pleasing and just sit back and enjoy the show!

..The 425 is a great deal these days and much nicer than my CRT projector in most ways - I loved being able to web surf on a 2 meter screen!
