Its either between 2 Ultimax 12" or on SI 18", sealed box. Which would give better results. I would stack the two 12".

It did cross my mind, but dual opposed is not an option right now. Once the theater room is finished, there will be more time and room for experimentation.

2x 18s = 4x 15s = 8x 12s or something like that.

2x18s >4x12s, or 1x18">2x12s, I think.

I was going to get 2 SI 15s, but they sold out of the dual 2 ohm versions. Those are the ones I wanted. I have a iNuke 3000dsp and ~600 watts into each woofer would have been perfect.

They have 18 D2s though...

Yup, but 2 4cu ft cubes would be too much in the small room, space wise, not bass wise.

Have you checked the For Sale section of AVS Forum? Lotta folks upgrading, maybe find a deal in your area!

Edit: Didn't see anything there so have you seen the Parts Express Knock Down Kits? Pretty sure there is a 15" sealed kit (Woofer and Flatpack Box) that saves ~50-60$ off buying individual items.

Model them both. You have to anyway to figure out the correct box size.

99 times out of 100 they'll work better on opposite sides of the room.

I did model them, in winisd. The ultimax seems to be going lower according to winisd, but not by much.

99% of the time it is better in opposite corners, but not in this room. Huge bump at 40hz. It took me few days to find the best spot.
