type 1 or type 2 DVD-RAM

I searched to no avail.


Who can tell me...which is the type of DVD-RAM blank that has the disk enclosed in a cartridge that you can insert directly into the recorder without handling the disk directly? Type 1? Type 2? Type 4?

I have some EMTEC 9.4GB, double sided DVD-RAM in cartridges that insert fine into my E100. The box is marked Type 4.

I'm sorry, I misread the original post. All three types (1, 2, and 4) use cartrdges that can be inserted into a recorder (obviously), provided the recorder has a cart compatible media drawer. Types 2 and 4 have removable discs that can be inserted directly into the recorder w/o the cart.
