Generally I'd say a 5" subwoofer isn't good for anything. I didnt even know they made 5" subwoofers.

5 inch sounds like a bass module for computer speakers. For home theater even 8 is small. 10 or 12 is the starting size for HT use at realistic theater like output levels.
