I emailed Richard Swank, VP Engineering at KNTV in San Jose, asking him for an update of the transmitter relocation. I explained to him that I live in Marin County. Here is his reply:

Dave,



We have decided on a site and I believe you'll be able to get us at that

time in either analog or digital. We are still awaiting the decision of the

FCC and other regulatory agencies for approvals to move there.



Sorry it's taking even longer than I had hoped to resolve this problem.

So, no news on the timing, but it looks very promising as to the location. :D

Great news, thanks for the update.


Now it seems to be a race in the Bay Area: Will Comcast go live with HD before KNTV moves their broadcast location? (Assuming, of course, that Comcast will carry KNTV).
