I have always considered Audio King (now Ultimate Electronics) one of the best B & M A/V stores. The sales people are very knowledgeable and friendly despite usually way too aggressive. Anyways I recently purchased a Mits 42315 (42" CRT RP) for our main living room. I figured this was the best picture quality for the dollar and I did not need a flat screen to save space since it was going to sit in an entertainment center. Anyways I don't like purchasing large TVs online for many reasons otherwise I pretty much purchase 98% of the time online due to pricing..
Anyways I was about to order a Sharp LC-26GA4U online for another room and although I know most B & M stores will NOT price match online prices I thought what the heck, it wouldn't hurt to check.. So I called my sales rep and told him I was about to buy the Sharp online and thought I would see if they were willing to price match. I told him the best price I could find (26% below MSRP/$2199) with shipping. He was shocked at the price but after looking up some info he said he would rather see me buy from them and said he would match the price w/shipping! I really did not expect them to match this price as it took $460 off their margin and B & M stores simply cannot compete with online pricing due to over-head (store, sales staff, etc..)
Anyways I got the impression that they were not really making much but considering I was existing customer they preferred to see me purchase the TV from a authorized reputable store.
Normally I hate most B & M stores since most sale reps are blood sucking hounds but this has changed my opinion about UE. Just thought I would share my experience.
BTW: I also got the 24 months interest free financing
