I'm trying to switch the output mode from PCM to DTS on my TV, however I can only select PCM, DTS is grayed out. I have the optical cable going from my TV to my Onkyo HT-S3400 receiver on optical port 1.
My Comcast STB is going to my Logitech Revue which then goes to the TV all via HDMI. I would of plugged the receiver in before the TV but due to a stupid limitation on the Comcast box, it only allows 2 downstreams via HDMI.
To be honest, would I even notice a difference in sound via DTS? I am getting surround sound currently, I just assumed the quality would be better over DTS / Dolby Digital.
Any ideas? Also first time post, I tried doing some searches on here but couldn't find anything.
