Sandler's role was originally written for Jonah Hill. Sandler brings an interesting edge to this. Interesting cast too. :)
Redboxed the BR over the weekend. This movie is frenetic AF. It just never lets up for 2 hrs and 15 mins, and the finale is
an utter gut punch. In watching supplemental materials and youtube videos, the ending really is about the only feasible one for Howard because even if he was allowed to live, he would have found a way to create an even bigger high with the money he had left and would have ended up in a more precarious position
. His character is addicted to chaos and uncertainty so much that he gets high off of it. I think the Safdie brothers are going to continue to make interesting, high quality movies. Are they the new Coen brothers???

Saw this in theaters and its straight up anxiety inducing lol
I gave up after 30 minutes. Way too much n***** this, and n***** that, and too much stupidity by Sandler's character. Frantic overdrive at 150 miles an hour.
Yeah I tried to watch this too awhile back and it just seemed disjointed story wise, and the POV stuff is not only nauseating but it really is just a has been gimmick.
I enjoyed this film. Crazy ending.

It was an exciting and painful watch but I enjoyed it. It made me feel pretty good about a number of my safe and boring life choices.
