I've seen numerous posts on this forum with regarding refreshrates and FP. I understand a bit about CRTs and their "pulse" display, and how they flicker. Need less flicker? More Hz the better.

Do LCD and DLP displays need more Hz to display more fluid motion? As in the HS-20 has I believe 56Hz. Now with CRTs that would be unacceptable but does the LCD technology allow for this rate? And would this rate be good for shooter games over the PC?

thanks

CRTs can actually display different refresh rates. Very very few digital projectors can display anything other than 50/60Hz. Any other refresh is converted to 50/60hz and will probably cause problems such as tearing.
