Uninstalling WME 2005

I notice that, if you go to Add/Remove Programs, check the block at the top for "Show Updates", scroll down the window to "Windows Media Center Edition 2005", and select this entry, you will get a Remove button.


Will this procedure Remove WMC and leave a bare Windows XP OS?


Of course, I haven't done this, but I've considered it instead reinstalling the entire OS with MCE in connection with trying to resolve a TV tuner problem.
