Universal CD/DVD Changer
I am looking for a quality CD/DVD Changer.
My current DVD player is a Toshiba Media Server which is both a Tivo box, and a DVD recorder/player; I am very happy with its video performance. My current CD changer is a $200-$250 Yamaha changer connected via analog outs.
* No more than US $500 retail before tax
* Good remote control
* Ability to play MP3 a bonus
* HDMI a must
* Will be used for both audio and video, so good performance in both is needed
* High quality analog outs not necessary as I will connect with HDMI
* Source display is a 42" Panasonic Plama if that matters

Somebody asked last week or so. Marantz has a universal player 5 disc changer. Price is $650ish IIRC.

How about Yamaha's dvd-s1700.
I believe he wants a holds-more-than-one-disc player, i.e. changer. The s1700 is single disc. But while looking to see what the s1700 was, I see that Yammy has the DVD-C950 which is a universal changer with HDMI output and the MSRP is $549.

Looks like both the Yammy and Denon use Faroudja. May not be a good idea to pair with a Panny plasma due to MB enhance.
Marantz usually doesn't use Faroudja, but I haven't checked the player specs.

Several Marantz DVD players, including the VC6001 5 disk changer, use Faroudja.
