Hi everybody,


this is my first post to this forum! Congrats to everybody for keeping this friendly and very informative place!!


Here's my question:

I'm looking for a remote control solution for my G5 to control both EyeTv and FrontRow (which I understand can be activated in 10.4.x even in "non-front row-native" Macs).

So far I've been using the remote that came with the Miglia TV Mini HD, but it's not exactly the most intuitive remote, and it would be nice to be able to switch to front row for playing DVDs/Video_TS files.


Is anybody using some sort of universal remote control that's able to communicate with a keyspan remote receiver or something similar?

On the software end, check out Remote Buddy ( http://www.iospirit.com/index.php?mo...d3cfa6e683d1d6 ) or Mira ( http://twistedmelon.com/ ). You can choose which remote to use with either.

Thanks so much for the link! Remote buddy seems to do an amazing job. And it seems to allow full customization (right down to writing your own applescripts). Looks like it supports a nice selection of hardware too! I think I'll give it a try.
