I'm looking around if it's worth upgrading my Davis DLS-8. I've not followed the market developments in the past year and noticed that the Davis machines hardly ever pop up here in the forum topics anymore. Used to be different http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif


Budget (flexible) around $4000. I noticed you can get an XGA DLP for that nowadays...


What would be the top machines for me to check out?

Hi there


Do try to feed your Davis from your PC - this will give you a very good result - and you would have to spend a lot of money on a new machine, cables - ceilingmounts and more...

Thanks, but I am using a HTPC.


The Davis is a very good projector but there still are a few quirks. And I noticed that although the Davis projectors are still being sold, they're not mentioned here very often anymore. I presume other pretenders to the throne have been found?


Also, with xga becoming affordable, for 16:9 PAL that would be an improvement
