Upgrade LiteOn 50XX to SATA burner

In Oct. 09, it was reported that a SATA burner had been installed in a LiteOn 5045. It worked well. However after further testing the same person reported that he encountered Blocky video using the new burner.

Has anybody had a successful installation of a SATA burner in any LiteOns?
