I have upgrade fever after upgrading to a Pioneer 643 64" TV and a Panasonic XP30 DVD player in the last week. My Yamaha Rxv-995 is working fine. Should I replace it? If so with what? I have Norh 4.0 speakers and an Adire Dharman sub. After the cash spent this week I'm hurting, but I feel my receiver is now the weak link. Any thoughts? I'm thinking in the $850 or so out the door price. I'd really like something that can handle switching different video sources.

If you like your old Yamaha, you should definitely check out the new models 1400/2400. You can easily find the 1400 for around $600. This unit has tons of features for your dollar. THX Select, YPAO room optimizer, component video conversion, 110 x 7. I just upgraded to the 1400 from my 3 year old RX-V596 and am very happy with it. Much better power and overall sound quality with this unit. Definitely worth a look. (or listen)
