I currently have a Samsung LN52B750. It is 52" 240Hz has great picture and has served us well for 3 years. We are looking to upgrade to a 60" Back lit LED LCD, It does not need to be smart or have 3d. I would like to keep it true 240Hz but many seem to be 120Hz and play a silly marketing game now that say it "looks like 240". I dont know if it matters? Do the new 120Hz TV's with this new tech replace the need for true 240Hz?


Her are 2 models I have started to look at...any sugestions, models or input would be awesome!

Sure you probably made your purchase by now, but I have the exact same TV (LN52B750) and have just moved it to our bonus room when the older DLP there died. To replace the 52" TV I just picked up the 60" Samsung UN60EH6050F at Costco. After 3 days I am disappointed. The LN52B750 had a much more vivid and clear picture as well as handled motion better.


I plan on spending a few more days tweaking settings and trying to properly calibrate, but I am leaning on returning to Costco before the 90 days is up. Problem is, what would I buy to replace for under $2K for a 60" set.....even if I went to $2500. Sadly I think LCD picture quality has gone done as companies get caught up in ultra thin displays and gimmicks.
