Projector: Sony VPL-HW45ES
5650:1 contrast ratio, 1800 lumens.

Light controlled room with only sconces on walls and maybe a dimmed light.

Currently have Screen Innovations Slate .8 Gain (100")

Looking at 120" but trouble deciding on white or gray (or silver) screen with gains around 1.0 - 1.5

I know I have a dark room with controlled light, but don't want a washed out look.

I'd go with 1.0 on that setup. The additional size of the screen will lower the light to similar level of your existing 100 0.8.

What color are your walls, floor and ceiling? Do you watch in total darkness or prefer a little light on? Wall sconces are generally a bad idea if they are used, even dimmed, during a movie as the light is too uncontrolled. The 45es is not a light cannon so answers to the above questions would help a lot. A picture would help even more.
