Right now I have a kenwood 5.1 receiver, but looking to upgrade to something with hdmi connections. I see a lot of 7.1 receivers with the hdmi but are there any good 5.1 receivers you recommend with hdmi? Thanks in advance.

this all depends on how much you are willing to spend right at frys they have a sony receiver for 99 dollars with hdmi ports but it all depends on whether you u want hdmi video switching or if you want decoding of new audio formats for that u should look into the onkyo 605. but for 99 dollars id think that would much be a big upgrade as i also upgraded from a kenwood 6.1 receiver not to long ago.
