I had been using my Onkyo stereo receiver for video switching, until I plugged my satellite (Directv) S-video, and DVD (Component) into my Sanyo z2. I could not believe the difference in quality. Here's my dillemma. I no longer want to use my receiver for switching between sources. Will a decent scaler (DVDO for example)do as well at upsampling as the Bravo d2 and momitsu, and if so does anyone recommend sticking with my decent 3 year old dvd player and put the $250 toward a scaler.
I'm hoping that a scaler will improve my satellite and xbox as well.
