briefly skip thro what happened

was watching avi when pc froze

reset produced dead screen

only way to get screen back is to remove cmos battery

this gets me to screen where you can choose the bios OR F1 to load windows and everything works fine until you restart then nothing

remove battery again and you get to same screen as above

go into bios, do nothing, save and exit, back to dead screen

so i cant even set bios to boot from cdrom to load awdflash

is this a virus(bloody good one) or a motherboard fault?

any advice gladly received

probably a motherboard about to go bad. (They do go bad every now and then).

update

not a battery problem..proved

entering bios then reseting is not a problem but try saving and exit even if you change nothing causes problem

so looks like a bios problem?
