Looking for a player to hook up to my home stereo system, that has a USB port and a SD card slot? Almost finished putting all my cd collection on memory sticks.

Just bought a Pioneer premier car stereo with USB & mp3 ports. The memory sticks have spoiled me.No more CD clutter.

Does anyone make such a player for home audio,if so who?

Thanks............

You should be able to use your memory sticks with almost any player that have USB port. And most modern DVD player have it. Just buy USB reader, player recognizes it as an external disk.

Blacknote has recently introduced a line of digital products that might be of interest to you. Search out the Blacknote DSS 15 and DSS 30. It has multiple inputs and outputs, including USB and S/PDIF, plays most formats (mp3, Apple Lossless, OGG, FLAC, etc.) and decodes hi-rez files as well. Initial reports are quite positive. I haven't yet heard it, but a local dealer (Palmetto Audio) carries Blacknote and feels it far outperforms much more expensive CDPs, so I'm planning an audition in the near future. I'm particularly interested in hearing the potential advantages of using USB memory sticks (though the Blacknote can also be connected to stand-alone hard-drives, CD-ROMs, and computers) - no moving parts, thus no mechanicial and less electrial noise - seems very promising.

Cheers, Mark
