I am redoing my HTPC connections and I have a veiwsonic(highest res they make) 21 inch moniter. I have never utilized the BNC connections(5 of them). Should I be using these? Isn't this just about the same as component vidio?(75 ohm?) I believe I should use the BNC but I would like the opinion of you guys who are really into this stuff. Thanks for your replys

Yes.

If we're talking about a 15 pin in the display end of the cable, BNC is better.

The problem (mostly with long cables) is that 15 pin is 115 ohm and RGB(HV) along with the cable is 75 ohm.

Luckily BNC is 75 ohm too, so if you have echo shadows on your pic, go for BNC.

On shorter length it will just be a little smearing.

On 1-2 meters it will not show problems.

The 15 pin on the graphic card is so close to the source that it's smearing

will only show up a little and only on highend displays.
