Use of Fancy Cables Pointless while Signal Originiates from RF Jack on Wall?

I notice that people scoff at using an RF cable for connections between home theatre components, but don't people have to use it at some point (get the signal from the jack in the wall to the STB, TV, etc.)?

Well in the case of digital cable and satellite, the signal being passed through the Coax cable from the wall is digital, so it doesnt really matter how it gets there, as long as it gets there, within reason ofcourse. What is being fed through a coax for digital cable and satellite is a very different signal than say what normal cable or a vcr is putting through, which is analog, and worse of all, a composite video signal with 2 audio signals pumping through, so its 5 interwoven signals on one wire, pretty messy.
Depending upon the length of run and if a splitter is used (use one rated to the GHz), the use of quad-shield RG-6 may be a help to reduce loss at high frequencies which can lead to loss or annoying minute losses of digital data resulting in momentary glitches.
