Hi

I am new to tower speakers and always had packaged 5.1 speakers set before.

I am trying to expand at low cost.

i found some used RF-32 II on craigslist for 200 bucks a pair. and new SS-F6000 from sony on amazon for only $118. Which route should I go?

I am planning to use it for mainly movie watching.

Thanks in advance

I think you would find the sound quality of those cheap Sony speakers to be rather poor.

I would suggest the Polk R300 for some low-priced speakers that will sound better. Those are at Amazon for under $100, and the CSR center speaker is also around $100.

You should take a look at the Pioneer FS52 from Best Buy, they are very well liked and would be the same price as those used Klipsch. Avoid those Sonys.

Thanks for that quick turn around. I should also mention that room is 19X19X9 (square)

I would imagine the reciever and amp would decide how good the speakers work, but please let me know if I am wrong.
