Turns out that I have 4 Usher 8945A speakers NIB . I bought them for my current project but ended up using different drivers. I am considering another build after I finish this one. Does anyone know of a 3 way floorstanding speaker design using 2 8945As for each cabinet? Thanks Mike D.

That said, I'm not fond of that driver in a 3-way. It's a glorious for 2-way and paired up right, with a good XO, does quite well with mids and rocks the low end when ported (for a 7" driver). It does well enough in mids to not want to use it as the bottom end of a 3-way, and if it is the mid, there are better mids. I do understand that you are trying to use what is at hand. IMO, a 2-way is the way to go. http://murphyblaster.com/content.php?f=usher2way.html

That might be why I cant find much info on using them in a three way. Im doing a 2 way now and would really like to do a three way next. Maybe I will just sell the drivers on PEs classifieds, or just hang on to them. Thanks

I have used it in a 3 way center channel speaker (WMTW). For mains it is also good as a 2.5 way which allows you to keep the extra 5-6db you would lose to baffle step in a simple two way.

I would like to come across a design using the 8945As in a 2.5 config. floorstander.
