I just bought a Creative Labs Digital VCR for my PC. It works fine and I can play/record TV without any problems.

I used the File Export tool that comes with the board to export my recorded shows as MPEG2 files, but after that, when I try to convert these MPEG2 files to DivX, the video starts "jumping" almost twice per second.

This has never happened with any other kind of videos. I can even convert DVDs to DivX easily, but these files created by the DVCR seem to be interlaced (not progressive as the ones I have used)

Any ideas/software to use to remove this program? Any help will be appreciated

Flaskmpeg do dvd to divx conversion, just check the de-interlace tickbox. Some other divx encoder can do de-interlace , ex: Vidomi should also.

If you have already encoded your movies to divx, you can use Virtualdub to de-interlace your existing movie using the de-interlace filter.

To find these software, don't ask me, just use www.google.com

VCR File Converter --> PVAStrumento (if needed) --> DVD2AVI --> Avisynth

.mpa --> MPA2WAV --> .wav

.avs & .wav --> Virtualdub --> DivX
