Does anyone do this?


I want to keep the case either by my pc lcd or by my future plasma/lcd. They are about 8 feet away from one another. How could I connect both a flat panel tv and pc lcd to a htpc?


Do they make extra long dvi cables?

I use my HTPC as my main desktop. It is easy with modern video cards to connect two monitors (such as a desktop LCD and a projector/plasma TV, etc.), and setup the driver with a hotkey to toggle between them. For Nvidia it is in the Nview desktop manager under the hot keys tab. Under display mode, "switch to next display device".... assign some hotkey combo to it like control-F1.


Monoprice has long cables of excellent quality for low cost.


Just be sure your video card has two physical connectors, and you should be all set. Mine has a VGA and a DVI (can be VGA with a cheap adapter), for example. Another common configuration is two DVI ports.
