I currently have 5 zones (front porch, living room, den, dining room and pool) that are sourced from my AVR through a selector and then onto impedence matching rotary controls for each room. I have looked into a multi-zone amplifier to unload my AVR and also add some more power to the speakers. I would also like to use the in-ceiling den speakers as the surrounds in a 5.1 HTS. While multi-zone amps allow for multiple sources, the switch for each zone is located on the rear of the chassis. Anyone have suggestions on how to set this up so that I may:

1) Utilize the room correction of the AVR when using the in-ceiling speakers as surrounds, but

2) easily switch sources for the same set of speakers and have them operate outside of the 5.1 when listening to music throughout the house
