Using MC 2005 with Video Scaler

I hope someone can help with this question. I have Windows Media Centre 2005 and want to run the output via a video scaler.


Is it possible to turn off deinterlacing inside the PC or the media centre so that the scaler can handle the deinterlacing?


This question is mostly about the DVD inside the Media Centre, but what about the TV Tuner Cards? Do these give an interlaced output or a progressive output?
