I was thinking about purchasing this system, but have a question. I curently have a older sony DAVDX250

this htib came with a better center channel speaker, which i hear isn;t the best on the htss370. it also came with 2 tall boy speakers. Can i safely use these on th htss370 without damage?


davdx speaker specs:

center: impedance- 2.7 ohms

tallboy: impedance- 2.7 ohms

the enclosure for both is a ported bass reflex

Since you're basically talking about swapping 3 ohm speakers for 3 ohm speakers, I'd say there shouldn't be a problem. JMO

There is actually a 0.3 difference

This wouldnt cause problems would it?

wait, even better idea. Would it be possible for me to purchase a seperate reciver, and temporarily use the older dony DAVDX250 speakers?

So, 0.3 ohms wouldnlt stress the amp would it?

It shouldn't. People have gotten away with much larger ohm differences than 0.3.
