I use 1080i, but im not sure if 720p is better, worse?


On my PS3 i have to use 1080i or it gets downscaled to 480p (im pretty sure it does)

Depends on your display's capability.


I use 1080i component from the XBox and send it to a Lumagen HDP to deinterlace to 1080p.

I tried both and I prefer the 1080i, I have a 720p samsung and the's ability to scale to 1080i is very good. I think the 1080 looks slightly sharper the 720, but thats on my DLP, on others you may get different results.
