I just got my unit back from Sony. It came with a $42.00 credit because they found nothing wrong with it. I had been dropping recordings be cause of intermitent signal loss in one of the tuners. Problem stayed with that tuner through the exchange of leads from the multiswitch, the elimination of switch, and swap of direct runs to LNB. So I'm assuming that when this unit gets warm I will see more touble. I did notice in the "history" page of "my shows" that a number of entries titled "tuners changed" with date time and the word status to the right. Details above indicated either tuner 1 or tuner 2. This was obviously part of their diagnostics. They tested it for a total of 8 hours swapping tuners all day. Anyone know more about this function and how it is preformed?

check out your cables - intermitent loss of signal is frequently because water has infiltrated the cable run at an outside junction. If you have water in the coax you'll get exactly what you describe.
