I have searched, but couldn't find anything on this, but I apologize if my google-fu was inadequate, or if this is not the correct forum (Mods, please move if needed).
Recently, I've noticed that when watching the same movie on different US cable networks, there is a distinct difference in sound quality, particularly in LFE. I'm on Spectrum (division of Charter) and all channels have been major networks in HDTV (FX, TNT, TBS, Paramount).
I'm sure the difference is due to their individual idiosyncrasies, but is there some kind of reference of which cable networks have the best sound quality (closer to true 5.1)?
