VCR Recording

555 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Dick
I have the SA3250HD box and Sony KDF-50E2000. I followed the connection diagram from the SA web site, Cable from wall into SA3250hd, then for VCR, red/white/yellow from cable box into VCR and red/white/yellow from VCR into TV.

I can play previously recorded VCR tapes fine, but I can' seem to record from the TV... I have the TV set to channel 03 and I can change channels with the cable remote, and I have the TV input set to the VCR line..IT says it is recording, but when I play it back, no picture. What might I be doing wrong ?

I got my TC-32LX60 from CC and I like the Pic quality, I want to clean the screen from my finger prints and on the right side middle of the screen I felt LCD is not sealed tight to the frame and I checked other corners and maybe some areas very tight and some areas little loose...is this normal on LCD screens or I got defective product???

I got 2nd 32" Panasonic from Costco same model and Pic quality really good but both TV has the same problem!!!!!!

Thank you for your help

Dick.
You need to select Line Input from the VCR remote....this tells the VCR where to look for a signal to record, i.e., red/white/yellow outputs from the cable box are called line outputs. You should have a button on your VCR remote that scrolls through the different inputs, for example: ant, line input 1, line input 2, etc. with each line input corresponding to either the front or rear inputs of the VCR. Also, the channel down button on the VCR remote will often access the various inputs of the VCR.
